ECO DESIGN
Eco-design is an approach to the design and development of products, services, or systems that aims to reduce their environmental impacts throughout their entire life cycle.
This can include reducing resource consumption, decreasing waste generation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, or preserving biodiversity.
BioRenGaz has adopted an eco-design approach with the support of CCI Grand Est and Climaxion in the MakCCIng Durable program.
Diagnosis
An environmental assessment of BioRenGaz technology is conducted to evaluate its life cycle impacts and identify the main causes
Ideation
Ideation sessions have been conducted with the entire BioRenGaz team to generate improvement solutions aimed at reducing environmental impacts
Implementation
The feasibility and interest of the proposed solutions were studied. Their environmental impact was simulated to avoid impact shifting
Eco-communication
An overview of eco-communication has been conducted to promote clear, non-deceptive, and transparent communication

WHAT WE RETAIN...
Eco-design initiatives should not be considered one-off actions but should be regularly repeated and integrated into continuous improvement processes. The MakCCIng Durable program has trained an eco-design leader within our organization, capable of conducting these studies regularly and over the long term.
The eco-design approach has allowed us to prioritize the environmental impacts of our product and provide solutions while validating their economic, technological, and environmental relevance.
